Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a meeting with cadets of Military Institute of Telecommunication and Informatization: "Our main tools are intelligence, knowledge and internal force"

Remembrance Day, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk visited the
Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization of the State
Telecommunication University.
In his communication with the cadets, the Head of Government reminded
that the building of the Institute had been the place where First Kyiv Military
Junior school named after Bohdan
Khmelnytsky was situated, two hundred students of
which participated in the battle near Kruty railway
station, "This institution has a history which is the history of fighting
for our country. From here 200 young men went to fight against Bolshevik forces
near Kruty. And the fact that you are the students in
this institution gives you an even greater responsibility".
Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the cadets of the institute with the
following words, “Dear, respected hope of Ukrainian Armed Forces, a Ukrainian
state and Ukrainian independence! Now all of us are in the same way fighting
for our country and our independence. And on how you study and to which extent
your professionalism grow will depend the fate of our country and the fate of
dozens thousands military who are now in the anti-terrorist operation zone, in
the combat zone fighting against Russian regular troops and terrorists led by
the Russian Federation”.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized that “the world has never faced this kind of
war, Russia started”, "In Crimea, Russia launched
a new kind of the so-called hybrid war. They hid their soldiers – as if
allegedly there were no signs that they were Russian regular army, tore away
the epaulets, tore away the chevrons. Brought in those
"green men" who were armed with Russian equipment, Russian guns and
having Russian documents”.
"A new type of hybrid war is taking place in Donbas as well. They
are also hiding their regular troops in the same way behind the terrorists and
bandits who are supported by their regular army. But they supervise from behind
their backs," he said.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed that these days the war "is not just the
guns, tanks, missiles", "Now the war implies information,
communication, telecommunications and cyberspace. This is what you are taught
here".
He noted that the Russian Federation had deployed massive
radio-electronic warfare stations, "aimed at preventing a possibility,
including for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, to maintain constant communication”,
“But thanks to your Institute as well, to your experts there have been
installed reliable means of communication and telecommunication”.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed confidence that the students of this high
educational institution would be among the top professionals to protect
Ukrainian cyberspace and to prevent from attacks on the cyberspace, as he had
been informed by the head of the Institute that the students of the University
used to take top places in international competitions and trainings, "Our
main tools are intelligence, education, knowledge and, of course, our internal
force. The internal force like that of two hundred cadets who
went to fight against the Russian army commanded by Muravyov”.
"With
such bright people, like you, I have confidence that we’ll win. I have faith
that Ukraine will not just be fighting, but will be able to gain its
independence and statehood", stressed the PM.
