Infrastructure Minister met with United States Ambassador to Ukraine

Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pivovarsky and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States of America to Ukraine Geoffrey R. Pyatt discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and infrastructure yesterday, on January 27.

The parties confirmed the mutual interest of Ukraine and the United States to conclude an intergovernmental air transport agreement according to the principles of "open skies".

The sides also discussed the restoration of damaged infrastructure in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine. Geoffrey R. Pyatt assured the Ukrainian side that the USA is ready to provide financial and technical assistance for projects aimed at restoring infrastructure in the east, as well as the development of individual transport industries.

Andrii Pivovarsky thanked the US Ambassador for support and readiness to provide necessary assistance to Ukraine.
