Governments of Ukraine and China signed agreement on technical and economic cooperation

The Government of Ukraine and the Government of the People’s Republic of China have signed an agreement on technical and economic cooperation. It enables to draw free assistance from the Government of China in the amount of 50 million of China’s yuans for the implementation of priority projects of the Ukrainian side. The agreement envisages that such projects will be coordinated with additional intergovernmental agreements. It is expected that funds will be allocated to support health, education and to meet the consequences of emergencies.

The signing took place on 27 January. From the Ukrainian side the agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Ihor Veremii and from China - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine Zhang Xiyun.
