Volodymyr Demchyshyn met with Deputy Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Security and Energy Restoration William Bryan

On January 26, in Kyiv there was held a working meeting of Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Security and Energy Restoration in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability William Bryan. The event was also attended by members of the American-Canadian-European group for crisis planning.

During the meeting the participants discussed revision of the Plan for emergency response in the fuel and energy complex, taking into account the situation in the East of Ukraine.

"We rely on the support of the American party to actualize the elaborated Plan to use during the following periods, as a systemic document", said Volodymyr Demchyshyn.

He also expressed concern to engage American experts to develop actual and predictable energy balance of Ukraine in the framework of the preparation of the final version of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine through 2030.

Apart from that, the Minister confirmed readiness of the Ukrainian side to prolong cooperation to obtain technical assistance of the United States, particularly in reforming of the gas sector of Ukraine.
