Arseniy Yatsenyuk during his meeting with students of Lviv: Russia hasn't changed plans. But we'll win this war

"A victory doesn’t just depend on weapons, but on the fortitude in particular. The strongest is not the one who has muscles and more guns, but the one who believes. We have a strong spirit, so we’ll win," said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in Lviv during a meeting with students of higher educational institutions of the city on Tuesday, October 21.

He stressed that Ukraine is in a state of war, it suffers from an encroachment upon its territorial integrity, "Now I have no grounds to say that everything will end soon. For the reason that Russia hasn’t changed what it planned".

According to the Head of the Government, the aim of the Russian Federation is "regaining control over former Soviet territories", "The core is Ukraine. No empire ever built by Moscow had been created without Ukraine. And now Vladimir Putin has set a personal goal to himself to restore the Soviet Union in any shape, to contrast Russia with the West and to say they won’t succeed without Russia."

"I can appeal to Vladimir Putin: you’ll fail. We’ll win in this battle. We will emerge stronger. The history put us to very severe trials, not to compare to any predecessors of ours. We are all a generation of war. But this is the way strong nations are fortified and powerful states built," said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

He urged, when the country is at war, "everyone should work to support the front, defence, fight and victory", "It is the responsibility of each of us, from the President and the Prime Minister to every person who has Ukraine in his heart, concerns about the future, who wishes good and wants to overcome the Russian military aggression".
