Arseniy Yatsenyuk reminded that throughout last few weeks there is
observed falling of oil prices, "In the global markets oil prices have
reduced by 24%. For the world and Ukraine this news is good, but for Russia
this news is not very good". Meanwhile, according to the PM, oil prices influence the basic prices for
all energy resources as well, including gas, “So, presently the world tends
to reduce the cost of energy resources globally as well as the price of a
primary energy resource, which is oil”. Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that morning he had held talks with
representatives of the main companies that deal with trade in crude oil and
refined products in Ukraine, “I expect their decision on certain reducing of
the cost of petroleum in Ukraine to correspond with the global tendency. Till
now I have just promises, but I can believe only when I see price tags in
fuel stations”. "I appeal to the Antimonopoly committee of Ukraine to support our
traders in oil products, importers to fix fair and competitive prices for oil
and refined products,” the Head of Government stressed. Arseniy Yatsenyuk also expressed hopes that tax innovations will afford
to increase oil and gas production in the following year, “So, now we are holding
consultations with the foreign investors to find out what tax novelties and
additional incentives they need to facilitate us improving the domestic
production of oil and gas”. |
