Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Temporary price and terms of Russian gas deliveries can be determined by court
In the framework of the General procedure the Ukrainian side filed a special lawsuit to the
Stockholm arbitration court with
regards to gas supplies from the Russian Federation: "If we do not find certain understanding in a
trilateral format, the court will
decide
concerning temporary terms of supply of natural
gas", - said the Prime Minister
of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in the program "Shuster LIVE" on the
First National TV channel on Friday, October 3.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk
noted, in order to pass the winter we lack 5 billion
cubic meters of gas. According to him, now there are two ways to solve this
problem. "We hold negotiations: the European Union and Ukraine as one, and Russia aimed at signing a provisional agreement
until March 31 for the supply of natural gas," he explained the first
option. The second way, according
to him, is a decision drawn by the court,” We have brought a special action
in the framework of the general procedure. Within a month the court, unless
we find an understanding in the trilateral format, will take a decision on the
temporary price and terms of gas deliveries. As now it is a question of
energy security of Europe”. Arseniy Yatsenyuk
reminded that the Russian side had suggested the price of gas for Ukraine amounting
$ 500 per thousand cubic meters: "When we refused, we chose the way of
signing an agreement and receiving a European price. We do not ask about any
discounts. We are ready to pay the European price." |
