PM receives Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt
On
Tuesday, July 1, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has received Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Carl Bildt, who is paying a visit to Ukraine.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Carl Bildt discussed the outcome of the European Council meeting on June 27 and further steps towards the effective implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
Regarding
the economic aspects of the situation in Ukraine, the Prime Minister has
focused attention on the rigid implementation by the Government of Ukraine of
the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. In this
context, the PM has noted the importance of considering the negative economic
consequences of the illegal activities of terrorist groups in the East of
Ukraine in planning further steps of cooperation with the IMF.
The
PM has also discussed with the Foreign Ministry of Sweden the current state and prospects of sectoral cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union.
