Government will do everything within power to ensure execution of peaceful plan of settlement conflict in eastern regions of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supports the plan of the President of Ukraine directed to peaceful settlement of the conflict in the eastern regions of Ukraine.

Ukraine has proved it is ready to defend its independence and integrity and its people as well, with weapon in hands. However, if there is a chance to solve a conflict in a peaceful manner we should seize the opportunity.

The Government will do everything in power to ensure realization of the peaceful plan of the President and introduce in life the provisions it contains, within competence of the Cabinet of Ministers. In particular, the Government is ready in the liberated from terrorists territories, where there appears an opportunity, to start activities in rendering assistance to the victims, restoring infrastructure, water and gas supplies, electricity systems, renewal of work of authorities, activities in introducing of the rule of law and order, protection of human rights and freedoms.

The Government has the firm intention to benefit from ceasefire in order to renew payments of pensions, salaries and other social assistance to those who due to the actions of terrorists were deprived of this opportunity. The Prime Minister of Ukraine gave relevant commissions to the Ministry of Interior, Finance Ministry and Ministry of Social Policy.
