Andrii Deshchytsia held briefing on foreign political activity of Government during 100 days
On June 12,
2014, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii
Deshchytsia held a briefing which was dedicated to
drawing conclusions of activity of the foreign political department throughout
100 days.

Among the
principal acquisitions of the Government in the international relations area A.
Deshchytsia singled out signing of a political
section of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, coming in
effect of the autonomous preferential trade regime between Ukraine and the
EU, accord of the European Commission concerning proceeding to the second
stage of the Action Plan on liberalizing of a visa regime with the EU for
Ukraine. “Under
conditions of the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine,
occupation by Russia of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, by joining endeavors
of Ukrainian diplomacy we have managed to consolidate the international
community around supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,”
A. Deshchytsia emphasized and added, Ukraine will
continue using all existing political and diplomatic mechanisms in the
direction of strengthening pressure to the RF by the international communities,
targeting to de-escalate the situation in the eastern regions of Ukraine and
restore the sovereignty of our state over the temporary Autonomous Republic
of Crimea occupied by Russia. In the
briefing were also participating the First Deputy Ministers Natalya Halibarenko, Deputy Minister Danylo
Lubkivsky, Deputy Minister, head of staff Andrii Olefirov. |
