Arseniy Yatsenyuk meets with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

On Saturday, June 7, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Maximov, who heads a delegation of Kazakhstan in the inauguration ceremony of the newly-elected President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized a significant role played by trade and economic relations between Ukraine and Kazakhstan. “For us the market of Kazakhstan is important,” the Prime Minister stressed and noted there is the need to seek mutually beneficial formulae of bilateral trade aimed at avoiding negative consequences in connection with Kazakhstan’s acquired membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The heads of governments of the two countries agreed to hold in the near future the next meeting of the joint interstate Ukraine-Kazakhstan economic cooperation commission. The event is planned for considering in details a number of promising bilateral projects, in particular in space area.
