Great Britain reaffirms technical assistance to Ukraine

At a meeting with the Minister of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Ostap Semerak, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Great Britain to Ukraine Simon Smith has reaffirmed the assumed before commitments to provide technical and expert assistance to Ukraine worth up to £ 10 million.

The event took place at the Cabinet of Ministers today, May 2. Francesca Stidson, a member of the Department of State for International Development, was also participating in it.   

The assistance provided by the Great Britain in particular will be directed to support economy and activity of governmental bodies of Ukraine. Besides, the parties discussed resumption of a joint EU – Ukraine program Stronger Together, called to promote European values.

Moreover, the Ukrainian top official and the British diplomat raised the topic of early parliamentary elections in Ukraine and the constitutional reform.
