Arseniy Yatsenyuk congratulates Ukrainian people on electing President
“We believe that the new President,
the Government and the Parliament will do everything what is expected from them
by Ukrainian people and what the Ukrainians went
to Maidan for,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said at
a session of the Government on Tuesday, May 27.

“I congratulate the entire Ukraine on the
election of the President of our state,” he stressed. Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized holding of fair
and transparent elections had been one of the program basics of the Cabinet
of Ministers of Ukraine: “Due to our combined work we can classify this
election campaign as one of the most transparent, open and fair”. During the campaign, he stressed, no administrative
resource had been used: “We have managed to do everything within our power to
avoid carousel voting, disappearing ink, hundreds thousands of fake voter
bulletins and rewriting the minutes of the voting results. Therefore, the
Ukrainian people could have made their choice and now the Ukrainian country
has the Head of State”. “On behalf of the Government of Ukraine we
congratulate Petro Oleksiyovych. We believe the new
President, the Government and the Parliament will do everything in their
power to meet expectations of the Ukrainian people and those Ukrainians who went
to Maidan,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk urged. The Head of Government expressed hopes that the
Central Election Commission that had “made endeavors to ensure the elections to
be held, will draw conclusions in the shortest terms possible, make public
the official outcome of the ballot and the Head of State will take office and
assume the duties as soon as possible”. “As the Prime Minister of Ukraine
I shall make public my official position with regards to future activity of
the Cabinet of Ministers and interaction between legislative, executive
branches of authorities and an institute of the President of Ukraine,”
Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted. |
