Arseniy Yatsenyuk: Government to allocate UAH 100 mln to purchase BTR-3E for the Armed Forces and National Guard
It is
planned to purchase 22 BTR-3E [armored personnel carrier]
for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guards. The Government
is to allot UAH 100 million for these purposes. The Prime Minister of Ukraine
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed on Thursday, May 22, during a visit to a military unit
in the vicinity of Kyiv where the 2-nd reserve battalion of
the National Guard and a special subdivision to fulfill ATO tasks are
holding a combined scheduled battle drill.

During
the trainings the combatants practiced in arresting armed criminals,
releasing of hostages, repelling the attacks and detention of criminals,
actions of the personnel of border checkpoints in the course of examination
of motor vehicles. They were also trained in shooting, unarmed combat
techniques, basics of general and special courses of training of service

Yatsenyuk handed to the combatants advanced special communication means,
helmets and body armor, not compliant with the Russian standards. The Head
of Government emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National
Guard are provided with everything necessary as fast as possible since “nothing
has been purchased for 23 years”: “What was two months ago and what we have

anti-terrorist operation and ensured everyone “that the country will forget
