Government allots over UAH 40 mln to provide with accommodation those who suffered from tragedy in Mykolayiv
The
Cabinet of Ministers is to allocate over UAH 40 million in order to provide
with accommodation those who suffered from the tragedy at a building on 40 Lazurna street in Mykolayiv. Overall
80 flats will be purchased under the state funds. The Prime Minister of Ukraine
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed during a visiting session of the Government in
Mykolayiv, on Wednesday, May 21.

Therewithal,
pursuant to the order approved by the Cabinet of Ministers at the session,
the Government shall provide one-time monetary assistance worth UAH 50 thousand
to those who suffered from the tragedy and UAH 100 thousand to the families
of the deceased. “I am
asking to immediately fulfill all the procedures and during the two months the
people must receive documents for flats,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk urged. The
Prime Minister vehemently opposed start of new construction activities to
cover these needs: “If there is an object or several objects with 95-100%
readiness, we should find in places where the flats are practically finished,
to communicate directly to the owners of these objects, conduct transparent
and fast tender procedures and give away the flats to the people at the governmental
funds, under minimal price and in shortest terms. He addressed
the head of regional state administration to immediately, in three-day’s term,
approve the directions of use of funds: “The Finance Ministry shall finance
immediately”. Arseniy
Yatsenyuk expressed compassion to the families of those who had died in the
tragedy. The Head
of Government evaluated work of Mykolayiv regional state administration, the
head of the administration, MPs who represent Mykolayiv region and render assistance
to those who suffered in the tragedy at a building on 40 Lazurna
street, the State Emergency Service rescuers “who saved people and couldn’t stand
back”. |
