With a moment of silence were commemorated those military officers who had participated in the Anti-terrorist operation [ATO] in the Eastern Ukraine by top officials who, in the framework of a working visit, attended in Vinnytsya a military unit of the Western operations and territorial association of the National Guards of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroysman expressed gratitude to the military for the demonstrated heroism, patriotism and stressed that their problems and problems of their families wouldn’t be left without attention of the Government.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk handed to the military officers keys from 9 flats in Vinnytsya.

“We haven’t received flats since 2000. We hope today’s event will become a tradition and accommodation problems of the military will be settled step-by-step,” said Oleh Plakotnyuk, commander of military unit 3028 of the Western operations and territorial association of the National Guards of Ukraine.

In turn, the Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroysman noted that flats are just a little part of what, in fact, the military officers deserve, those who, being under fire, are defending Ukraine from the invaders these days.

“When the country faces hardship, it needs heroes who give away a part of themselves and sometimes their lives for the sake of preserving the lives of others. I believe that our military will preserve peaceful sky over Ukraine,” Volodymyr Hrosyman said.
