Russia’s
interpretation of the OSCE “road map” on de-escalation of the situation in the
eastern regions of Ukraine
is far from reality, biased and one-sided.
It is unfortunate that
Russia has been deliberately
camouflaging the undeniable fact that for the OSCE “road map” to succeed it
has, first of all, to stop sponsoring and supporting armed anti-Ukrainian
terrorists, call on them to lay down their weapons, withdraw its saboteurs from
the eastern regions of Ukraine,
who deliberately destabilize the situation on the ground.
Russia understands perfectly
that this is the main reason of crisis, not the ongoing anti-terrorist
operation. However, it prefers to play this dirty game and mislead the
international community with its false conclusions and misinterpretations.
Moreover, Russia
must withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian border, which is yet another
destabilizing factor in Russian hands.
Ukrainian leadership
is open for an inclusive national unity dialogue, no doubts about it. However,
it is impossible to engage terrorists, whose objective is to destroy not only
the national unity but the Ukrainian statehood as such.
Kyiv has already begun
to implement the OSCE "road map" by scheduling for Wednesday, 14 May,
the first all-Ukrainian round table of national unity.
