“I was surprised that Ukraine's issue was discussed in Moscow without Ukraine, without the United States and without the EU, as it is in this format that the first meeting in Geneva was held, and the Russian Federation refused to fulfill these agreements,” Arseniy Yatseniuk stressed to journalists in Kharkiv before leaving for Kyiv on Wednesday, May 7.

Responding to a question on today's statement of the President of the Russian Federation, Arseniy Yatsenyuk said, “Russia should not fill the environment with hot air. Russia asks to postpone a referendum planned for May 11, it is necessary to inform the Russian President that no referendum is scheduled in Ukraine on May 11. And if terrorists and separatists, supported by Russia, have received a command to postpone something unscheduled – that is their own internal troubles.”

Concerning the statement that Russia is ready to make contribution to the stabilization of the situation in Ukraine, the PM underlined: "It [Russia] makes this contribution every day, it sends either agents of the Federal Security Service or weapons. Therefore, the best contribution is to withdraw all sabotage groups, which are on the territory of Ukraine, condemn terrorism as well as oblige them to surrender their weapons, vacate buildings and surrender to authorities".

The PM said that before the trip of the Foreign Minister of Switzerland in Moscow, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister handed him our roadmap: “it is significantly different from what was stated in Moscow.”

I believe that the “road map” which was drafted by Ukraine will be the basis of the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis," he emphasized.
