The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsya, head of the OSCE special monitoring mission in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, Charge d’affairs of the Russian Federation in Ukraine Andrey Vorobyov, diplomats of the EU Representative Office in Ukraine and Embassy of the Swedish Confederation holding OSCE presidency in the presence of the Kyiv municipal state administration (KMSA) mayor Volodymyr Bondarenko examined the KMSA premises.

The visit was aimed at getting familiarized with the process of implementation of Geneva agreement on Ukraine concerning unblocking administrative buildings.

On the outcomes of the visit the sides ascertained that the KMSA building wasn’t occupied by the protesters. Instead there are conducted repair and restoration activities with an aim to prepare the premises for the work of new municipal authorities, who are to be elected through the democratic elections on May 25, 2014.

“Owing to the KMSA mayor we were able to convince how Ukraine fulfills provisions of Geneva document,” A. Deshchytsya stressed.

The head of the OSCE special monitoring mission in Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan assessed efforts of the Ukrainian side that led to liberation of the KMSA building.

Ukraine is ready to continue to stick responsibly to the provisions of Geneva document and call on other parties, first of all the Russian Federation, to pay efforts in order to deescalate the strain in south-eastern regions of Ukraine.
