Vitalii Yarema meets with U.S. Senator Bob Corker

The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitalii Yarema held a meeting with the United State Senator Bob Corker. The interlocutors discussed the current situation in Ukraine and support by the United States.

Vitalii Yarema expressed gratitude for the support and assistance rendered by the United State at this difficult time for Ukraine. Moreover, the top official stressed Ukraine was obtaining from the U.S.A not just moral but material aid. He emphasized USD 20 billion, that according to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, were planned to render to Ukraine in the form of equipment for the Armed Forces, appeared necessary for the country, as material and technical basis of Ukrainian army suffer hard times.  

Senator Bob Corker noted that by visiting Kyiv he expressed once again the recognition of actions of Ukrainian Government which, he views, spares no effort to stabilize the situation within the country. Moreover, he stressed the United States should impose tougher sanctions against Russia.
