Olexandr Sych: Information is the same weapon but of another kind

The Vice Premier urged government officials to urgently coordinate area of neutralizing information threats. “We need not just an information platform that is capable to reveal threats, accumulate messages of the central executive authorities and retransmit to the information agencies. We need a headquarters capable to on-the-spot respond to the hostile actions in the Ukrainian information space,” Olexandr Sych.

According to the official, the final result of such cooperation will depend directly on effective and well-coordinated decisions in regulatory policy, normative changes and compliance with the current legislation. “On the first side we have to ensure fast audit of information resources, their restructuring and concentration of efforts on key challenges, including behind the boundaries of the country. On the other side – to restore the legality of broadcasting,” Olexandr Sych summed up.
