Arsenii Yatseniuk: All personal appointments in Government to take place in presence of all Government's members

All personal appointments in the Government will take place at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers in the presence of all members of the Government. This was started by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk during a session of the Government Wednesday, March 19.

Cabinet session began with a minute of silence to the killed soldier in Crimea.

Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed that it is important for the Government "to finally stabilize the situation in Ukraine, in particular to impose order so that the Ukrainian laws is carried out and to allow the judicial system to fulfill their basic function – civil protection."

He noted that he fully supports the position of Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov on public procedure of personal appointments in the Interior Ministry. Arsenii Yatseniuk named this initiative "hard and adequate approach in stuffing issue": "We have no friends or outsiders. We have only the interests of the Ukrainian people."

"Starting from today's Cabinet session all personnel appointments, including on deputy (Ministers) and heads of state enterprises, will be taken here, in this chamber, in the presence of all members of the Government," Prime Minister stressed.  

"This will be another step towards transparency of the Cabinet’s activity" Arsenii Yatseniuk said.
