Ministry of Justice to apply to ECHR and OSCE concerning on facts of violations during so-called referendum in Crimea

The Ministry of Justice will provide all facts of violations committed during the so-called referendum in the Crimea to the European Court of Human Rights and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. This was started by Minister of Justice of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko.

"It was known in advance about the massive violations that were prepared by Russia for the so-called referendum on the joining Crimea to Russia. However, even in these circumstances the number of voters who allegedly took part in the referendum and voted "for" at least in 10 times larger than the real one. Lawlessness and forgery - it is not the will of the people, it is a crime," Pavlo Petrenko said.

Specifically, there were such violations as: "abnormal" number of people were filled into the additional voter’s lists on election day; many cases when citizens of Russia took part in the election, there were cases of so-called "street-voting" when representatives of organizers of the referendum went to homes to people who are not going to vote in the referendum, attacked journalists, which in all possible ways were not allowed to shoot polling stations.

In addition, the document states that the Crimean Tatars did not recognize this so-called "referendum" and did not participate in it.
