Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk meets with leadership of U.S. House of Representatives in Washington

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk within his working visit to the United States has met with the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.

Members of U.S. House of Representatives pledged to consolidate bipartisan efforts to provide immediate and long-term assistance to Ukraine and its government for urgent reforms.

They stressed that the issue of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine for members of the House of Representatives is fundamental.

Ukrainian side expressed the hope that the Congress would pass a bill in the near future that would allow Ukraine in accordance with the new system of quota distribution to receive additional USD 600 million.

Arsenii Yatseniuk is also addressing a meeting of UN Security Council in New York on March 13, during which the situation in Ukraine will be discussed.
