Task on staffing the Armed Forces exceptionally under contract sees its final stage
Aiming fulfillment of the tasks determined by the President of Ukraine –
the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, the
Defence Ministry has proceeded to the final stage of professionalization of the
Armed Forces. Minister of Defence of Ukraine Pavlo Lebedyev emphasized during a
briefing at the House of Government on February 17.

“In 2013
there have been enlisted to the contract military service 12 thousand persons,
that’s the plan was fulfilled 113%. It has enabled to increase the level of
manning of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by militarymen
hired by contract to 69.6%,” Pavlo Lebedyev accentuated. Therewith,
the Defence Minister added the Naval Force and Airmobile
Forces were fully manned with contract officers. |
