O. Proskuryakov meets with UNECE Executive Secretary
On February
12, Geneva hosted a meeting the Minister of Environment and Nature Resources of
Ukraine Oleh Proskuryakov
and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe
(UNECE) Sven Alkalaj with participation of director
of the Bureau of Convention on the environmental impact assessment in a transboundary context (Espoo Convention) Dmytro Mormul.

The parties discussed urgent issues of interaction of our country with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. Peculiar attention was paid to preparation to the Sixth session of Meeting of the Parties to the Espoo Convention slated for June of 2014. O. Proskuryakov informed about the activity of our state
directed to proper organization of the mentioned event. In turn, S. Alkalaj assured in overall support of relevant efforts of
Ukraine in the mentioned direction by the institution he chairs. |
