Comment of MFA regarding Conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council on Ukraine of February 10, 2014
Ukraine has taken into consideration the approved on February 10, 2014 Conclusions of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.

We distinguish
by and large a weighed and constructive position of the European Union in
assessment of the events in Ukraine and readiness to develop relations
between Ukraine and the EU based on the comprehensive dialog and interaction.
The Government
of Ukraine shares the largest part of approaches to settlement of the political
crisis in Ukraine contained in the Conclusions, in particular: seeking a
democratic decision through a peaceful and inclusive dialog, deterring all the
forces from violence and radical actions, preserving respect of fundamental
rights and freedoms, supporting peaceful nature of the demonstrations. We confirm
once again the invariability of the course of Ukraine towards the European
integration basing on introduction of sociopolitical and socioeconomic
reforms and targeting approaching to the best European standards. In this
regard an extremely important factor appears the steps made by the European
Union in synergy with the international community and international financial
institutions aimed at rendering respective support. We acclaim
the EU openness to further strategic discussion of the final goal of the multifaceted
and ambitious relations between Ukraine and the EU, the relevant signals of which
have been included in the EU Council’s Conclusions. |
