Ukraine and Russia sign cooperation agreement on physical training and sports
Today, in
the framework of participation in the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi the Minister
of Youth and Sports Ravil Safiullin
has met with Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Vitaliy
Mutko.

The Ministers
discussed bilateral cooperation and exchanged with experience concerning
development of sports in the two countries. Peculiar attention was paid to
organization of mass sporting events. At this the parties stated stirring up
Ukrainian-Russian cooperation in sports. The meeting
resulted into signing the Agreement between the Ministry of Youth and Sports
and Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation on cooperation in fitness
and sports. Meanwhile,
Ravil Safiullin emphasized
the Agreement would facilitate deepening of sports cooperation between
Ukraine and Russia, create legal grounds for holding of joint sporting
events, in particular exchange of sports delegations and experience of work in
the following areas: fight against doping, training athletes of high achievements
and development of mass sports. |
