S. Arbuzov calls on local executive authorities to activate budget process

According to him, despite the difficult political situation the budget process in the regions of Ukraine is going on. Serhiy Arbuzov reminded that February 3 was the last day of approval of the local budgets that have direct interbudget relations with the state budget (republican of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regional, municipal of the cities of regional, republican significance, area budgets).

The First Vice Premier of Ukraine noted that the Government had taken into account and approved the majority of actual wishes of the local authorities.

 “I want to declare with whole responsibility that presently the Government and the majority of regional state administrations, local executive authorities are trying to work in the planned mode. Hence, the situation in the social-economic and financial areas is under control of the Government. By now we have formed and approved the State Budget for the current year and entered the stage of approval of the local budgets,” he noted.

The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized that the budget process in eastern and central regions had been held rather actively. Serhiy Arbuzov stressed as of February 3 of the current year there had been approved 35.6% (4299 budgets out of 12087) local budgets of all levels. At this, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Kyiv, Kyrovohrad, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions there have been ensured timely approval of all local budgets that have direct interbudget relations with the state budget, while in Kyiv, Odessa and Sumy regions there have been approved all local budgets of all the levels.

Moreover, Serhiy Arbuzov called on representatives of the local executive authorities who hadn’t submitted for approval eth respective budgets to be more responsible in this issue. “No political confrontations must hamper the interests of simple citizens. Therefore, I call on the representatives of the local authorities to activate the budget process which affords to ensure timely social payments,” Serhiy Arbuzov stressed.
