Governments of Ukraine and Russia approved task and development of FS of of the construction of transport transition through the Kerch Strait

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vilkul and Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Oleg Belozyorov approved task to carry out of engineering research and development of a feasibility study (FS) of the construction of transport transition through the Kerch Strait.

"We are developing prospects and variants for the construction of transport crossing over the Kerch Strait. This can be a tunnel or a bridge that can be road or rail type. The feasibility study for the project will be developed to take the decision," Olexandr Vilkul said.

Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Oleg Belozyorov noted: “I would like to thank the Ukrainian party led by Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Vilkul for constructive work. The project will develop the infrastructure of the Black Sea community.”

Recall that on 29 January, the Government approved the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on joint action on the construction of transport transition through the Kerch Strait, signed December 17, 2013 in Moscow.
