People have realized that the authority protecting law and order and stability acting solely in their interest. This was stressed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 22, 2014, describing the situation in connection with protests in the capital.

“We are great responsible for in this situation. The whole country actually lives a normal life, and we must ensure the normal functioning of the state. Timely payment of wages, pensions, social benefits, develop the economy, quickly respond to emergency situations like the one that happened yesterday, for example, in the city of Pivdenne of Odessa region and in the city of Mykolaiv today. I want to ask so-called leaders of the so-called opposition what they are responsible for. Do they not realize that by extremist actions they will not force the authorities to take their ultimatums? Their goal is clear: to provoke the authorities to use force (I want that everybody to understand this) provided by the law, and then to put the responsibility on the authorities,” Mykola Azarov said.

According to Mykola Azarov, the same is their tactics and in Parliament, where they block the adoption of decisions needed for the political stability in the country. In some cases it provokes discontent of people.

“And they blame the authorities in this, though they are the perpetrators of instability and accumulation of certain problems, PM says. Today we see the same calculation. But now they are wrong. People have realized that the authorities of protecting law and order and stability, acting solely in their interests.”
