Budget 2014 provides for an increase in funding for free legal aid

National legislation,
including the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and the Law of Ukraine
"On Free Legal Aid" envisages provision of free secondary legal aid
to persons, to which administrative detention is used or who was detained in
the criminal judicial order.
State Budget of
Ukraine for 2014 with the aim of attorneys' fees that are involved in the
provision of secondary legal aid on a permanent or temporary basis provides for
expenditures in the amount of UAH 75.5 million. Compared to the year 2013 it is
over UAH 46.6 million or 2.6 times more.
