German agricultural
business is ready to actively enter the national market and invest in
agriculture in Ukraine.
Almost all conditions are created to do this. However, there are still several
issues that to be resolved. In particular, it is necessary to simplify taxation,
mechanisms of permits and certificates. This was discussed at the meeting of
Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Olexandr Sen with representatives of the German agricultural
business, which took place before the official opening of the exhibition
"Green Week" in Berlin.
About 20
representatives of agrarian companies, industrial associations and
organizations of Germany
attended the bilateral meeting, in particular those who represent crop
production, agricultural machinery, production of plant protection products,
livestock, grain traders. They noted that they were ready to expand
partnerships with Ukraine,
in particular to go to local market and invest in agriculture. However, it is necessary
to simplify doing business for more effective cooperation. In particular, to
simplify taxation, a mechanism of issuing permits and certificates. By turn, Olexandr Sen said that currently efforts
to deregulate business activities are ongoing. In particular, the following
problem was set by and President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
"We are
interested so that to farm in Ukraine
would be not only profitable, but also conveniently. So, now we are actively
taking measures to deregulate business. In addition, we are promptly trying to
remove all obstacles for farmers. And we are already seeing positive results,
which are spoken by German business," the Deputy Minister said.
For example, Olexandr Sen described the
situation in the field of plant protection products, namely their checks. So,
now when you import products in Ukraine
each party is checked. Simplification of this mechanism is currently being
considered. In particular, it is planed to carry only customs documentary
control. A party of products will be checked selectively. Manufacturers that
are not seen in disorders will be checked at pre-determined time.
