    April 11-12, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Republic of Macedonia

    In Skopje, Pavlo Klimkin shall meet with the country's top leaders and hold talks with his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Dimitrov.

    The purpose of the visit is to intensify Ukrainian-Macedonian cooperation, in particular, mutual support on the way towards the EU and NATO membership, to discuss preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Macedonian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the bilateral Committee on the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Macedonia, the possibilities for intensification of economic cooperation and business contacts between the two countries, as well as preparations for the conclusion of an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia which introduces a visa-free regime for short travels by citizens- holders of biometric passports.

    Within the framework of the visit, the Minister is planned to lay flowers to the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Skopje, together with the Ukrainian community of Macedonia, as well as to have interviews with leading local media.
