Vsevolod Chentsov

Born in 1974 in Drohobych, Lviv region.

Education

1996 – Graduated from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with a Specialist degree in Law.

Professional experience

1996–1997 – Attaché, Third Secretary, Second Secretary, Legal Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

1997–2002 – Third, Second and First Secretary, Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Türkiye, Ankara.

2002–2005 – Head of the Treaties Division; Deputy Director of the Legal Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

2005–2006 – Deputy Director of the Legal Department and Head of the Special Legal Affairs Division; Deputy Director of the Legal Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

2006–2007 – Counsellor, Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland, Warsaw.

2007–2011 – Deputy Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union, Brussels.

2011–2017 – Director of the European Union Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; member of the Permanent High Level Group of the Energy Community.

2017–2021 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Hague.

2021–2026 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary; Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community.

16 July 2026 – Appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
