Vitalii Kim

Born in 1981 in Mykolaiv.

Education

In 1998, graduated from Mykolaiv Humanities Gymnasium No. 2.

In 2002, obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship from Admiral Makarov National University of Ship Building.

In 2003, graduated from the same university with a degree in Enterprise Economics, obtaining the qualification of Specialist.

Professional experience

2001–2019 – Worked in the private sector, holding senior management positions and engaging in entrepreneurial activities.

November 2020 – Appointed Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Since 24 February 2022 – Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. In this role, he coordinated the work of state authorities, military command, local self-government bodies and international partners on security, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, addressing the consequences of armed aggression, regional recovery and the mobilisation of international technical assistance.

16 July 2026 – Appointed Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.

Awards

Awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Third Class.

Personal

Married. Has two daughters and a son.

Speaks Ukrainian and English.
