Tetyana Berezhna

Education:

Obtained higher education at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Jurisprudence.

Completed an internship in the Parliament of Canada as a participant in the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Program (CUPP).

Also studied at the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, the Aspen Institute Kyiv under the “Values and Society” programme, and the Kyiv School of Economics in the field of Government Relations.

Underwent training at the London School of Economics and Political Science as part of the LSE IDEAS programme: "A Global System in Transition and Ukraine’s Reconstruction."

In 2025, completed the Strategic Architect School programme at the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, obtaining a qualification in Management and Administration.

Ranked among the top 10 most effective civil servants and politicians with legal practice experience according to the Yurydychna Gazeta “Practice Leaders – 2025” study.

Professional experience:

Over 10 years of experience in legal practice.

Since 2011, worked at the Law Firm “Vasil Kisil and Partners”. In 2017, obtained a certificate to practice law.

Received numerous awards for professional achievements.

From 2017 to 2021, included in the Chambers Europe international legal directory as a recommended lawyer in Ukraine in the field of taxation, particularly in tax disputes.

From 2018 to 2021, recognised by the Legal 500 International Rating in the field of taxation.

Included in the Best Lawyers resource as one of Ukraine’s leading lawyers in taxation for 2021–2022.

In 2025, served as Ukraine’s General Commissioner at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, responsible for representing Ukraine and implementing the national pavilion.

By Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 483-r dated 17 June 2022, appointed Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

By Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 784-r dated 28 July 2025, appointed Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.

By Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 785-r dated 28 July 2025, appointed Acting Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.

On October 21, 2025, appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture of Ukraine.

On July 16, 2026, reappointed Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy – Minister of Culture of Ukraine.
