    Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine

    Born in 1985.

    Prior to her appointment as Minister of Social Policy, Yulia Sokolovska was engaged in the implementation of healthcare reform in international technical assistance projects.

    She had started her career in 2007 in the private sector, and since 2009 worked in the Economics and Investment Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, including in the position of Deputy Head of Investment and Foreign Economic Policy Department, Head of Investment Attraction Department.

    In 2014-2015 she headed the Document Management Department at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. In 2015-2016 she held the position of Director of the Department of Budget Expenditure in the Social Sector at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. In 2016-2017, she headed the Department of Strategic Planning and Coordination of State Policy at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Secretariat.

    She has two higher education degrees. Graduated with honors in 2007 from Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman and in 2016 the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine.

    In 2015-2016 Yulia Sokolovska took part in international training programs: GIZ - training program for trainers in European integration (Ukraine), UNICEF - study of Bulgaria's experience in the field of social services for children (Bulgaria); Joint Vienna Institute - Applied Economic Policy and Public Administration and Structural Reform training courses (Republic of Austria), IMF Institute - Stable Growth program (USA), the World Bank – Healthcare System Improvement and Funding (USA).

    Fluent in English. Not married, has no children.
