Taras Kachka
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine

Born in 1979, Dymytrove, Kirovohrad region, Ukraine.

Education:

Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the International Scientific and Technical University (Kyiv) and a Master’s degree in Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

During 2004–2005, studied at the National School of Public Administration in Warsaw (Poland) specialising in Public Administration.

Professional experience:

2001 - 2004, worked as a Senior Specialist at the Centre for European and Comparative Law, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

2005 - 2009, held the position of Deputy Director – Head of the State Department for Legislative Harmonisation at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and from 2009 to 2011 – First Deputy of the Department.

In 2011, headed the Department of International Economic Relations at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In 2014–2015, served as Vice President for Strategic Development and Acting President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.

On 6 September 2019, was appointed Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine – Trade Representative of Ukraine.

On 17 July 2025, was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. Since 30 July 2025, continues to perform the duties of the Trade Representative of Ukraine.

Author of the monograph “Combating Money Laundering: A Comprehensive Comparative Legal Analysis of the Compliance of Ukrainian Legislation with the European Union Acquis in the Field of Combating and Preventing the Legalisation of Illicit Proceeds”.

Taras Kachka oversaw the translation and general editorship of the book “Constitutional Acts of the European Union,” published in Kyiv in 2008.
