Uruskyi Oleg was born in 1963 in the city of Chortkiv, Ternopil region.

In 1985 - graduated from the Kyiv Higher Military Aviation Engineering School.

1993-1996 - headed a department at the National Space Agency of Ukraine, and during 1996-2000 – headed a department of the National Security and Defense Council’s Office.

2000-2003 - held the position of First Deputy Chairman of the State Commission for Defense and Industry of Ukraine.

2003-2005 - headed a department in the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

2005 - was appointed First Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy.

2014 - 2015 - Deputy General Director of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom".

2015 - Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

In April 2020 - headed the engineering company Progrestech-Ukraine.

On July 16, 2020 - was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

Doctor of Technical Sciences, laureate of the State Prize in Science and Technology, Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics.
