    Mykola Tochytskyi
    Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine

    Born in 1967 in Vinnytsia region.

    Education:

    Graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Romano-Germanic Philology and from the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in International Law; Geneva Centre for Security Policy.

    Career:

    Started his diplomatic career in 1993 as an attaché at the Arms Control and Disarmament Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

    From 1995 to 1998 he worked at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium.

    From 1998 to 2005 he continued to work in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

    In 2005, he was appointed Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco (USA).

    From 2008 to 2010, he held senior positions in the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine.

    From 2010 to 2016, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe.

    In 2016, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium and Representative of Ukraine to the EU and the European Atomic Energy Community, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with concurrent appointment.

    From May to September 2021, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

    From 2021 to 2024, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

    From April to September 2024, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

    On 5 September 2024, he was appointed Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine.


    Honours and awards:

    Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine (2009).

    Order of Merit, III class (2021).

    Order of Merit, II class (2023).
