Stepanov Maxym was born in 1975 in the city of Skovorodino, Amur region.

Education:

1998 - graduated from Donetsk State Medical University with a degree in medicine. After the internship, he received a degree in surgery.

2004 - graduated from Kyiv National University of Economics with a degree in International Economics.

Career:

1999-2001 - held the position of Deputy General Director of Trading House "Gas of Ukraine" NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine".

2001-2003 - Deputy General Director of CJSC "Industrial and Financial Company "Viche".

2003-2004 - worked in the State Tax Administration of Ukraine.

2004-2008 - worked as the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Republican Legal Union LLC.

2008-2010 - held the position of First Deputy Head of Odessa Regional State Administration.

2010-2011 - worked as the director of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian State Center for Transport Service "Lisky".

2011-2016 - headed the state enterprise "Poligrafkombinat "Ukraine", which produces forms for official documents. In this position, Maxym Stepanov abolished the monopoly of the EDAPS concern on the printing of passports. During this time, the company's profit increased from UAH 3.5 million to UAH 362 million. The printing plant built two modern shops, and later issued a biometric passport and an identification card. The company was also certified according to five international ISO standards.

2017-2019 - Head of Odessa Regional State Administration. During this time, more than 450 kilometers of roads in the region were repaired, the country's largest nephrology and hemodialysis center was built, a network of reperfusion centers was formed, telemedicine and distance education projects "Teacher +" and BeSmart were introduced.

March 30, 2020 – was appointed as Minister of Health of Ukraine.

Married, has a daughter and a son.
