Provision of health workers with personal protective equipment is a priority for the Ministry in activities.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxym Stepanov announced this at a daily briefing on April 16.

According to him, the level of provision with this equipment is increasing on a daily basis.

"I emphasize once again - the protection of doctors is a priority and we are increasing the percentage of personal protective equipment provided at each hospital every day. The Cabinet of Minister's dashboard, created with the support of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance, has all the relevant information in real time: both in the regions and in the context of each medical institution," said Maxym Stepanov.

According to the Minister, as of April 16, 788 health workers in Ukraine have contracted COVID-19.

"We analyze each case of medical worker's illness: in connection with what they caught the disease, in which hospital and under what circumstances," summed up Maxym Stepanov, adding that the Ministry is working to ensure maximum protection of the doctors.
