The Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Serhii Savchuk and Olga Komarova, host of the Freedom in Detail program on Radio Svoboda, discussed the rapid development of renewable energy in Ukraine, as well as the use of energy-efficient projects (Warm Loans, energy certificates, etc.) for consumers.
Serhii Savchuk highlighted the the market for "green" projects had intensified. Investors began to trust the country.
As a result, in the past 3 years, over EUR1.1 billion green investments have been leveraged. All these are the projects for the generation of clean electricity and heat.
Thus, investors not only develop a "green" business, but also vote by investng their funding for our country's energy and economic independence.
"In order to demonstrate Ukraine's colossal potential in the international arena and to continue inviting investors, we joined the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)", stressed Serhii Savchuk.
As a separate issue the Head of the Agency raised the topic of energy efficiency relevant to each family and support programs in this area. What has been a proven fact is that families implementing energy-efficient measures can save in fact half or more money on utility services.
