The Government has approved a Roadmap for conducting international oil and gas auctions, the implementation of which opens up the way for the coming to Ukraine of the most recent technologies of gas extraction and production, as well as provides for entrepreneurs, both Ukrainian and international, with equal and transparent competitive environment. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion claims.

According to him, the Roadmap aimed to speed up the launch of the auction of special permits was developed by the Government team in close cooperation with the business community - the Association of Gas Producers of Ukraine.

Preparation for the first international auction will begin in September, and the auction itself is due in January-February 2019.

"Transparent auctions are intended to demonstrate to the global community the transparency and fairness in the process of obtaining access to natural resources in Ukraine. They would also provide the opportunity to attract the most competent and experienced licence holders and will allow to win the competitive struggle for global financial and technological investments in mining", assures Volodymyr Kistion.
