The goal of the state is to change the approach to the perception of inclusiveness in order to create a barrier-free environment for all citizens in Ukraine. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the "Barrier-Free Hour" with the participation of members of the Government.

Denys Shmyhal dwelled on that an issue at stake is creation of conditions in everyday life, where it will be comfortable for all citizens, where everyone can take an active part in the life of the country. To this end, at the initiative of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, the Government approved the National Strategy for Barrier-Free Environment in Ukraine, which is already being in practice.

"In Ukraine, approaches to the integration of people with limited mobility are changing and more and more opportunities for self-realization are being created. Words play an important role in promoting accessibility. The words we use in communication about inclusiveness say a lot about our society, institutions, culture, tolerance," said the Prime Minister.

During the meeting, the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Barrier-Free Environment Tetyana Lomakina presented to the members of the Government the Barrier-Free Handbook, a guide on correct communication, developed on the initiative of First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to bring to the notice of officials of central executive bodies, authorities with special status and equivalent institutions (enterprises, organizations) the information contained in the " Barrier-Free Handbook", with the obligation use these principles in everyday work, in particular during external communications and when working with citizens.
