The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is working on the expansion of the Available Medicines programme, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko announced on the air of "Pryamiy" (Direct) TV channel.
"The Available Medicines programme was fiercely criticized one and a half year ago, but today the program is efficient and people receive free medicines", the Vice Prime Minister said.
According to him, since the launch of the government program list of medications that can be obtained on a doctor's prescription free of charge or with a small additional charge has considerably expanded. "In the past, the programme covered 140 medications, and now it covers already 250. Thus, we are expanding the possibilities of the program," Pavlo Rozenko stressed.
"At present, we are engaged in work to expand neologies under this program that will enable people to receive medicines for free or at prices lower than 80-85%", the Vice Prime Minister underscored.
