Situation in the power system as of 24 April: electricity supply to industry was limited in the evening; consumers' needs are covered by domestric generation, commercial imports and emergency assistance from neighbouring countries.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Due to network constraints on the transmission system operator's lines, blackout schedules were applied yesterday in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today.
During the evening peak hours, power curtailment schedules were applied for industrial consumers in all regions except Kherson region.
Over the past day, consumers' needs were covered by domestric generation, commercial imports and emergency supplies from Poland, Slovakia and Romania. The total volume of emergency supplies amounted to about 2.5% of daily electricity consumption.
At the request of the Ukrainian transmission system operator, we also supply electricity from these countries during the current day.
It's worth mentioning that emergency assistance from neighbouring countries is a standard tool for synchronised power systems to interact when necessary. Ukraine, like our partners, also transfers surplus electricity when necessary and possible.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
Overhead lines and substations were disconnected in Odesa as a result of the shelling, and consumers were cut off. Restoration works are underway.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased. It is currently 15.41 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 13,764 MWh. No exports are planned.
