On September 26, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the creation of an interagency working group to prepare proposals for monetization of housing subsidies. The working group will be headed by First Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv.
"The Government is aware of the importance of creating an effective system of targeted monetary compensation for housing and communal services for vulnerable groups of the population. The initial stage of this reform unveiled a number of systemic problems faced by the state authorities responsible for its implementation. The format of the working group will allow more efficiently to plot and implement the reform of monetization of subsidies, to establish better communication and exchange of financial information between different authorities ", Stepan Kubiv commented on the need for the launch of work of the interdepartmental working group.
