All people, who have been quarantined in Novi Sanzhary, including staff, got tested for coronavirus. This was reported by the members of the operational headquarters in Novi Sanzhary, Poltava region.
"Today is the sixth day of observation. Everything is going on in a routine mode, all people are feeling well. Nobody has an elevated body temperature. Today, we have finished testing of all people, including the staff. Tomorrow we will get results of the first part of the samples, and we will surely inform the public," said Anton Turupalov, a member of the operational headquarters, advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
He also commented on the Government's actions to prevent the introduction of a new coronavirus on the territory of Ukraine: "The Government launches temperature screening measures of inbound travellers in the airports and in the checkpoints. In particular, temperature screening is already being held at Boryspil and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv International Airports as well as at Tisa checkpoint. By the end of this day, we are launching screening at other checkpoints with Hungary. In the next few days, we will also apply the same measures at the border checkpoints with Slovakia, Romania and Poland.
According to Ihor Kuzin, acting Director of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health, teams of medical workers will be working at the checkpoints to promptly react to the situation: “Now we are working on action plans in case of detection of body fever the algorithm of actions in case of detection of high fever. We understand that now there is an epidemic season of ARVI, however, experts of sanitary and quarantine departments, who will be able to objectively assess the epidemic risk in each case, will be working at the checkpoints. In case of necessity, such person will be hospitalized to a special infectious hospital."
Apart from that, Ihor Kuzin informed that the health of a Ukrainian who was hospitalized in a Zakarpattya hospital with suspicion of a new coronavirus: the diagnosis was not confirmed."
"The general situation in Novi Sanzhary and at the border of Zakarpattya is under the Government control. There is no reason to panic," as it was emphasized in the operational headquarters.
